		<description>&lt;p&gt;I like your suggestions here.  I&#039;ve started a new blog giving tips and advice to parents on how to support their child&#039;s maths learning. As a former maths teacher I can look at your ides and use them with own children but non specialist parents lack the confidence to do this.  I&#039;ll be reading blogs like your&#039;s and Dan Meyer&#039;s to give me some ideas and inspiration.&lt;/p&gt;

I found pre-testing at the end of unit worked best, despite the fatigue factor.  Once you&#039;re in the habit of preparing mutliple assignments/activities, it gets easier.  Also, most of the work is a the start of the unit if you do the menu/alternatives based on the unit.&lt;/p&gt;
