Here are three podcasts I’ve listened to in the past month that particularly blew my mind. Only the first is specifically related to classrooms, but the others could definitely inspire your teaching.
1. Hidden Brain
This is a new podcast I’m trying out, Hidden Brain examines the ways that our brains trick us. Episode 4 is about the relationship between teachers and students. The main story is great but also stick around for the lightning round with the awesome Dan Pink. Incredible research!
2. Everyday Philosophy
From the often interesting (but occasionally annoying) Tim Ferris Show, this episode features an interview with Alain de Botton. He and Ferris discuss the purpose and usefulness of philosophy. Some great, big ideas.
3. Kevin Kelly Interview
Kevin Kelly is incredible. I got to see him speak in person at the 2014 XOXO Festival. His book What Technology Wants is so wild I might need to read it three times before claiming to understand it. Instead, you can just listen to this interview where he explains his thinking. Really interesting stuff.
