You’re in charge of a gifted program. You’ve sent folks to conferences. You’ve hired consultants. You’ve bought resources. But there’s an implementation problem.
The implementation problem usually sounds like this:
But what does this look like?
Conferences, workshops, and books all start (by their nature) in the wrong place. They start with what the speaker or author has to say. They don’t start with where your teachers are at. (I know this because I’ve been running workshops for a decade).
This can be fine. It can expose folks to great new ideas. But it leads to that implementation problem. What do we actually do with that great idea once it hits our curriculum, our specific program, and our district’s requirements?
The great idea sounded great. But now that you’re sitting down to plan… you don’t really know how to start!
There’s too big of a gap between the great idea and what your teachers actually have to do. I’m offering services that close that gap. These services connect to what your teachers are doing because we start with what your teachers are doing!
Here are the differentiation services I currently offer:
- A Differentiation Inspection Want a clear picture of where your program is currently at and where you could go next? I’ll give some differentiation direction. You send me evidence, and I return a very nice report gauging your folks’ current differentiation practices plus some practical next steps and recommended resources.
- Differentiation Demonstration Having a hard time connecting vague differentiation advice to your specific curriculum? I’ll differentiate three lessons for you and your teachers, document the process as a video and written guide, and explain my thinking so you all can apply it to your next lessons.
