Curiosity-provoking links to get your students (and you) wondering!
- Here’s a time-lapse of ice cream and popsicles melting. Pause just after 0:13, when the popsicle shows up, and ask students what it will look like as it melts. Then do it again at 1:05 for plain ol’ ice.
- These are so interesting to watch: turbidity currents. What patterns can students spot amidst the chaos?
- “Punk Florist” Makoto Azuma uses space as a background for his flowers. Pretty stunning.
- Dr. Gavin Broad (who is in charge of the bugs at London’s Natural History Museum) explains how to use “light trapping” to catch all kinds of insects!
- Or, you can make your own insects out of plant clippings.
